antique glazed dresser kitchen cupboard in original paint

Item Ref

A truly unique find, a real country piece, found in nearly untouched condition.
This oak and pine dresser stems from the northern part of Europe, most likely Sweden and dates back to Gustavian times.
The original paint still intact in most places, a fine weathered sage green with plenty of patina and wear on the outside , a perfect cobalt blue inside.
Still visible in faint outline, the original stencil style decoration,on both bottom doors.
The black ladies silhouette and wreath is a later, probably Victorian , addition.
Especially nice, need to be mentioned, the hand forged iron hinges.
As obvious from the photos ,the dresser has been well used ,there is a damaged beading, the panel in the bottom right hand door is cracked and one of the back feet has been replaced.
There is plenty of wear inside the cupboards, top and bottom.
The original glass is held in with old putty and is scratched in places.
The oak work top is stained and worn.
Character in abundance!
The cupboard has been thoroughly cleaned and treated, ready for use
