Antique pine "lowboy" chest of three drawers , continental origin.
Constructed to the highest standards and obviously made for a good house.
Date: the mid to late 19th century
Origin : Northern Europe
Carved hardwood mouldings, turned wooden handles, finely cut brass key escutcheons and locks all intact. Sorry no keys.
The style is typical of that era in Europe, mid industrial revolution, when the lower middle classes could afford to have furniture made to order.
Quality timber, strong construction and a neat small size.
There is no structural damage or repair,a minor amount of old wood worm holes, thoroughly treated and no activity detected.
The chest is painted in 'Parchment',Crown Historic Range.
