Description

A rarity to survive...a pair of French plant pot stands from the early 19th century.
Matching and elegant, but sturdy and un-damaged.
A ingenious swirling design, made from strong fil-de-fer, iron wire, as so often found in jardiniere stands or Victorian plant stands.
Highly unusual and rare, not come across others like it.
The pot holders are intact, onl;y one of the wire loops loose and they can be slightly shaped to receive different sized pots, the stands are solid.
The original white paint is worn and flaky, rust showing .
Probably tinker made and highly collectable. ref book: ISBN 1-55859-792-1.
